The Recycled Cashmere Cardigan is a classic, midweight cardigan that we've rebuilt for the next century using a progressive approach to sourcing – it’s engineered from recycled cashmere, and with buttons made from recycled paper and plastics.
The cardigan has been at the heart of men’s wardrobes since the 1950s. But its roots can be traced back another 100 years to the Crimean War hero, and renowned knitwear fan, James Thomas Brudenell – the seventh Earl of Cardigan. Its timeless appeal lies in a few obvious qualities. It’s warm. It’s easy to wear. And unlike a sweater it’s never going to mess up your hair when you put it on. It was true in the 1850s. It’s true now. And it will still be true in 2050.
So we've created our own vision of the future of the cardigan – one that isn’t just a versatile, reliable piece of everyday knitwear, but is also a proof-of-concept for ethically sourced and environmentally friendly cashmere.
